One of the heaviest levied against Islam, in terms of its alleged antipathy towards women, is the assertion that it encourages a phenomenon known as honor killings. This is un-Islamic practice of killing female family members to see as dishonoring their familiesby real or perceived acts of indiscretion, such as premarital sex or not approved of. This accusation has been recently reinforced by the tragic murder of a Pakistani Canadian teenage girl, Aqsa Parvez.

The practice of honor killings has absolutely no sanction in the Qur'an, the Prophetic practice, or in the developed systems of Islamic law. 2. Declare someone guilty of involvement in honor killings to a cold-blooded murderer.

3. Promotion of judicial authorities to adopt the severest penalties possible for anyone accused of involvement in these murders.

4. Clarify our Muslim communities, especially in the west, on the un-Islamic nature of theHonor killings, and the pressures, nuances, challenges and difficulties faced by young Muslims, men and women in the West.

5. Efforts to eliminate the double standards and hypocrisy of measures set out in our communities, usually on attitudes and standards relating to the indiscretions of males as opposed to women.

In conclusion, Islam honors the woman who values and femininity. It is for every Muslim to translate teachings in that regard into a beautiful realityTo help raise the status of women in all societies. Honor killings, domestic violence in general, murders in the way of terrorizing women in Guatemala, female sexual slavery and human trafficking, pornography, especially its more violent manifestations are all crimes against humanity that we should reject in the strongest terms and to eliminate energetically to work. If our women are not safe, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, mentally, or we are all in danger, for without women menincomplete without men and women are incomplete. Our suggested Prophet, peace and blessings of God upon him, this complementarity when he said: Peace be upon him, "Women are the complimenting half of the men."
