When Arsene Wenger took over Arsenal Football Club in October 2006, he was relatively unknown in the English football community. Since his arrival, however, Wenger has transformed Arsenal into a successful, multi-national side with a strong emphasis on stylish, attacking football.

As a passionate supporter of Arsenal in the last ten years I have had the privilege to witness Wenger entire tenure as manager of the club. During this time I have seen win the Premier ClubLeague title three times (1998, 2002 & 2004), the FA Cup four times (1998, 2002, 2003 & 2005), reaching both the UEFA Cup final and Champions League final once each (2000 & 2006 respectively). I have many great players come and go, from the Association from all over the world and pampered by some scintillating attacking football.

So without further ado, I am pleased to present to play in 4-4-2 formation favored Wenger, the Arsenal team of the decade.

Keeper of theDecade: Jens Lehmann

German goalkeeper Jens Lehmann Arsenal in July 2003 as a replacement for longtime Englishman David Seaman. Best Moment: With six games locked in 2001/02 Arsenal go in a tight battle with Manchester United for the Premiership title. TheGunners meet London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in a crucial game, which was prepared at 1-1 late in the second half. When Thierry Henry a penalty for Arsenal won in the 85th Minute was it - Surpisingly - Lauren, which is responsible for the kick. Arsene Wenger signed Kolo Toure from Ivory Coast club ASECMimosas for the small sum of 150,000 in 2002 and made him a superstar. Originally conceived as a program midfield player who was converted to central defense Wenger, Toure and formed a strong partnership with Sol Campbell saw the club go undefeated in the Premier League in season 2003/04.

Toure success in switching to central defense is even more remarkable, attributed by some kind of play more of a winger. Like Adams, Toure is a natural leader on the court and has as a favorite of the fans at Arsenal. Best Moment: Arsenal played Villareal in the park in the first half of the Champions League semi-final first leg at Highbury, but could not find the goal their play deserved. But right at the death of half cracked Toure to home Alexander Hleb cross, turn and score his first Champions League goal. His finest moment this season came in a game against Aston Villa, where an unprecedented Pires each goal, a 2:0-seal victory achieved. Receiving a long ball from Ljungberg, Pires flicked the ball over his head, George Boateng Aston Villa defender before chipping Danish goalkeeper Peter Schmeicel. It was a moment of pure class from a class player.

Storm of the Decade: ThierryHenry

Signed at Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, Thierry Henry from Juventus in August 1999 for 10.5 million pounds was being seen by most observers, a strange decision.
